John Sam-Kubam

CEO for Africa

As CEO for Africa John, leads our commercial and network expansion across the African continent. He joined CAB in 2020 to build out the financial crime function in support of CAB's expansion plans acting as the MLRO during this time. He developed strong relationships with our African-based clients and regulators, together with developing extensive knowledge of the cross-border transaction flows that our clients rely on us to execute. Prior to CAB he spent 18 years at HSBC in senior first line and second line leadership roles covering investment banking, markets, commercial banking, asset management and private banking. John worked for Deutsche Bank and at JP Morgan earlier in his career.

He is a New York state registered attorney and counsellor at law with a master's degree in international economic law from Warwick University.
