Mario Shiliashki

Mario brings a wealth of experience in payments and fintech from across the world. He is currently the CEO of PayU Global – a leading global online payments player in high-growth emerging markets across Latin America, Africa, Europe and Asia.

Prior to PayU, Mario led MasterCard’s global eCommerce and cross-border trade initiatives, before launching and commercialising MasterCard’s first open API developer platform. In addition, he drove PayPal’s expansion into Asia, building the business across Southeast Asia, India, Japan and Korea from the ground up, and was on the founding team of PayPal in Europe.  In his early career, Mario was a Consultant at Bain & Company in London and an Equities Analyst at Goldman Sachs in New York.

Mario is a prolific speaker at payments and fintech conferences and contributor to a number of industry publications. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an International Directors Programme diploma from INSEAD.
