Derek McMenamin joined the Board in June 2013. He was a non-executive director of the bank’s former parent company, Crown Agents Limited, from June 2011 until July 2014. He is a retired solicitor having been a partner for 21 years at Linklaters LLP in its London and Hong Kong offices, where he specialised in all aspects of corporate work, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, public offerings of securities and the establishment of onshore and offshore investment vehicles. His practice included transactions in the UK, Europe and the Far East, as well as the Middle East and India.
Since January 2015, he has also been a trustee of the Scotts Project Trust, a charity based in Tonbridge, Kent, for adults with learning disabilities.
